Damage up to 40mm across can usually be repaired, as long as it’s not in the driver’s view  an area called the ‘A zone.’ Here, only damage up to 10mm can be repaired effectively.

AFirst of all, don’t panic. In the majority of cases most cars are still OK to drive but it’s important to get it looked at as soon as possible to avoid further damage or costs.

AA technician will clean and dry the damaged area and then fill it with a clear resin that has similar properties to glass. The repair will be almost invisible – much less noticeable than the original damage and will restore the windscreen’s strength.
